Kevin Hart cast as Roland in the upcoming Borderlands movie

The Borderlands movie seems to be rolling right along, and another major star has been given their role. Kevin Hart is going to play the part of Roland, and director Eli Roth said this role will let Kevin show a side he's not known for.

“I’m thrilled to be working with Kevin. Borderlands is a different kind of role for him, and we are excited to thrill audiences with a side of Kevin they’ve never seen before. He’s going to be an amazing Roland.”

Ah yes, Kevin "I'd beat my son if he was gay" Hart. Lovely.

Let's cancel him on Twitter for it!

Or we could do something useful and not financially support him or his work.

Or accept his apologie and move on.

Given his "apologies" were BS, no.

He has not tweeted any edgy jokes after the apologie. Also it was 10 years ago people change.

Such a bizarre choice of casting.

Kevin doesn't fit the bill in terms of height and size when comparing to Roland, and Roland has such a cool, and disciplined personality.

Not my ideal casting, but we'll see if Kevin Hart can pull it off.

I don’t know Borderlands, but does the character of Roland spend his time shouting all the time? If so, Kevin Hart will nail it!

He doesn’t have much range as an actor. Plays the same character in everything he’s in, which just seems to be a louder version of himself. Quite a polarising cast, considering he’s alongside Cate Blanchett, a fantastic actress.

Now, just food for thought. Does he lack range as an actor or does he only get cast in similar roles?

Even Johnny Depp ended up being type cast after Pirates
