Switch achieves more units sold in a single quarter than the Wii

Here's an interesting tidbit for Nintendo fans out there. The Switch might have a ways to go to match Wii sales, but it's already toppled a milestone the Wii set.

According to Nintendo's most recent financial data, the Switch managed to sell 11.57 million units in a single quarter. That's an astronomical amount of hardware moved, and it manages to outdo the Wii. Throughout the Wii's entire lifespan, it never managed to have a quarter that surpassed 11.57 million units sold. The only platformer to surpass that number is the DS, and that platform only went above the 11.57 figure twice in its entire run!
