Fit My Dog rolls over on Switch today
Puppy love
RedDeer.Games, a developer and publisher of games for Nintendo Switch, has announced the release date of Fit My Dog. This new organizer puzzle game has more fluffy companions to shuffle around – this time they’re the barking (or woofing) kind. Players can expect this fluffy bunch to land on Nintendo Switch today.
In a world where cats can sit anywhere, they seem fit and where zoo animals go on luxurious vacations, dogs are hard workers. After a day of playing in the park, working out while on walkies, and, god forbid, going to the vet they deserve a solid nap. And this is where the players come in as doggie owners (or handlers) whose goal is to fit all those fluffy pupils onto one, cozy bed.
Each of these good boys and girls will be pickupable by the players, who can rotate and place them at will. Each dog’s unique shape and pose might create a challenge when it comes to their sleeping arrangement, but nothing will stand in their way of taking a well-deserved snooze.
Fitting all of these fluffy, chonky, big, and small companions into their designated spaces will happen across 96 different levels of various difficulties. Through the course of the game, players will meet 27 cuties, purebred and mixed-breed. But the biggest challenge? Choosing the cutest one…

You may have heard in recent days that Humble Games, which is now owned by Ziff Davis through its IGN Entertainment subsidiary, has suffered some serious layoffs. While first reports said the publisher was being shuttered, further reports state that it’s been severely gutted, but not officially closed. Not surprisingly, this is causing issues for a number of games under the Humble Games umbrella, Coral Island being one of them.
The Switch port of Coral Island has been a long-time coming. Fans have been waiting years to get their hands on that version, and some even backed the game’s original crowdfunding campaign in order to get a Switch version. Unfortunately, that Switch release is now in question, and may never see release.
Developer Stairway Games has released a lengthy statement on Coral Island’s future on all platforms, Switch included. It sounds like the situation is the worst for Switch, which may never get the game after all. The situation is so dire that Stairway Games is letting Switch backers swap out their Switch plans for a Steam code if they so desire.
You can read the full statement from Stairway Games in the image below.

Netflix lowers budget, lessens scope of the BioShock movie
Consider us BioShocked
Back in February of 2022, we learned that Netflix had commissioned a BioShock movie. As is usually the case with videogame-to-movie adaptations, that reveal was followed by months and months of nothing. We really haven’t heard too much since, but today brings us a sizable update, but it’s one that might leave fans disappointed.
BioShock movie producer Roy Lee was part of a Comic-Con 2024 panel, and he spoke a little bit about the upcoming adaptation. According to Lee, the change of regime at Netflix, from Scott Stuber to Dan Lin, has impacted the budget of the film. In turn, that also has lessened the scope.
“The new regime has lowered the budgets. So we’re doing a much smaller version… It’s going to be a more personal point of view, as opposed to a grander, more epic project.”
Hopefully the lessened budget doesn’t impact the writing or direction, as that’s certainly what matters most. Until we actually get to see more from the film, we’ll just have to keep fingers and toes crossed.
