Diesel Legacy: The Brazen Age "Eleanora" Gameplay Trailer
Kill 'em with style
Diesel Legacy: The Brazen Age was revealed back in June on the PC Gaming Show, introducing a brand-new style of fighting game from Modus Games. Developed in-house by Modus Studios, this completely fresh take on the genre sees players engaging in 2v2 matches within an innovative 3-lane system against a gorgeous, hand-drawn Dieselpunk backdrop.
Diesel Legacy: The Brazen Age will launch on Switch at a later date, but today brings us a new trailer that highlight what moves Eleanora has to offer. The smooth-talking mobster Eleanora knows a thing or two about fighting dirty to get what she wants– fame, money and glory.
The bustling metropolis of New Libertis, known by residents as The Iron City, is a dieselpunk-inspired technological marvel. This is all thanks to FALCORP Industries, a corporation seeking to usher humanity into a higher state of existence. Of course, this ascension doesn’t include the city’s working class. Left to fend for themselves in the streets of The Iron City, a battle for the fate of tomorrow emerges.
Diesel Legacy: The Brazen Age flips the traditional fighting genre formula by placing 2v2 local and online co-op matches front and center in the arena. The game features 10 playable characters at launch (four of which are available to play now in the open beta), offering distinctly devastating attacks and meaningful shifts to team dynamics and matchups.
With combat playing out across three lanes, strategy is a key element of any Diesel Legacy clash. Will you swap to another lane and surprise attack your enemy from behind, or will you instead retreat to regain your bearings while your partner takes the heat? If your partner does, in fact, take too much heat, they’re not out of the fight completely. Upon defeat, knocked-out fighters can assist from beyond the grave to parry attacks for their teammate, channeling energy to help their ally out of sticky situations.
Diesel Legacy: The Brazen Age makes use of Modus Studios’ brand-new proprietary RealMatch™ rollback netcode, ensuring you don’t miss a single punch in any online match. Diesel Legacy: The Brazen Age also features comprehensive training and story modes and allows players to go against AI opponents to hone their skills.
Whether you’re looking to simply grasp the basics or analyze hitboxes and the frame data of Diesel Legacy’s crisp, hand-drawn 60fps animations, you’ve got all the tools you need to enter the arena at any skill level. Make a mistake once you enter the arena? Diesel Legacy’s advanced replay system allows you to rewatch a match and jump in whenever you’d like to make sure you don’t make the same mistake again.

License Global is back with their latest yearly report on global licensors, and once again Pokémon Co. has made the top 10.
According to License Global’s data, Pokemon Co. managed to take in $10.8 billion in revenue at retail in 2023. This was enough to land them in the 7th spot overall for global licensors in 2023. Believe it or not, this $10.8 billion is actually down by a staggering $800 million compared to 2022, but that’s because Pokémon Scarlet/Violet launched that year.
With the 2023 figures accounted for, that means total revenue from licensing for Pokémon Co. is now over $91.6 billion, making it the highest figure for a media franchise.
Wondering what else made the top 10 for 2023? You can see the complete breakdown below.

Blasphemous devs tease an upcoming announcement
Patience, penitent one...
The Game Kitchen has a hit on their hands with the Blasphemous franchise, as they’ve released two very successful installments so far. You can enjoy both of those titles on Switch right now, and if you’re already made your way through the games and consider yourself a fan, it looks like you might have more to be excited about in the near future.
While specifics weren’t shared, Blasphemous creative director and writer Enrique Cabeza shared the above image of the Penitent One’s Mea Culpa sword, which was then reposted by the official Blasphemous X account alongside the following message:
Listen carefully Penitent One. Announcement Coming Soon.
Is this going to be new DLC for Blasphemous II? Could we see some sort of model, figure or statue released? Is there a sword prop in the works? Your guess is as good as ours, but we’ll bring you this announcement as soon as The Game Kitchen pulls back the curtain.
You have to love investor briefings. While you and I know a ton about the world of gaming, some investors don’t know all that much. They just want to see the company make them money, which leads to some pretty interesting questions during quarterly briefings.
Capcom just hosted another of their quarterly briefings, and that brought in a wave of questions from investors. One investor noted that Monster Hunter Wilds is on the way, but wondered why the game wasn’t landing on Switch. To be fair, as far as investor questions go, this one actually makes a decent amount of sense!
While fans most likely know the reason why Monster Hunter Wilds isn’t coming to Switch, Capcom was still happy to explain. You can see their full statement on the matter below.
One concept we’ve incorporated into this title is aiming to portray the maximum of the world of Monster Hunter by utilizing the latest technology to its limit. To that end, the platforms capable of realizing that concept are currently the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series XǀS, and PC. Going forward, we will provide more thorough details regarding these concepts and themes when we release information on the game. We hope you look forward to it.
Long story short, Monster Hunter Wilds isn’t coming to Switch. That said, let’s keep fingers and toes crossed that the title will wind up on Switch’s successor.

Monster Hunter 20th anniversary tankards revealed
Perfect for monster mead!
It’s Monster Hunter’s 20th Anniversary and Capcom has been sharing all sorts of merch in celebration. Today brings us yet another celebratory collectible, and this one’s for the thirsty Monster Hunter fans out there.
Capcom has teamed with Urakita to release a series of Monster Hunter-themed wooden tankards, with each weighing roughly 6.88 ounces. These tankards can hold 1 liter of whatever beverage you’re into, and they cost a rather hefty $102.50 a piece.
These tankards can be designed with one of the fourteen available weapon icons or a face icon of the Felyne. Decorations can be plated in gold for all variations, silver for the weapons, or black for the Felyne versions. Nintendo recommends Switch games about superhero team-ups
Hmm...I wonder if a certain Marvel movie influenced this...
If superhero stories are anything to go by, there’s always something causing a bit of chaos. Giant lasers, cosmic threats, hard-to-open pickle jars: there’s a lot going on! Luckily, in times of great need, some of the greatest heroes (or villains…or mercs…) have decided to band together for the greater good.
Not surprisingly, Nintendo is capitalizing on the theatrical release of Deadpool and Wolverine by offering a list of superhero games on Switch where we see some epic team-ups. What’s better than taking control of your favorite superhero? Having your other favorites join alongside them, of course!
While these features are usually a 50/50 mix of first and third party titles, this edition is almost exclusively third party offerings. Still, Nintendo weasels its way onto the list with some titles they’ve published. Wondering what games made the cut? You can find the complete breakdown here.
Dead by Daylight "2v8 Game Mode Explained" Video Feature
Time to team up
Dead by Daylight’s 2v8 is here! In this video from Behaviour Interaction, fog whisperers Gh0stArcade and Carla break down everything you need to know about the exciting new game mode, which runs from July 25th 11 AM ET – August 8th 11 AM ET.
With more than a few surprises still up their sleeves 8 years in, the Dead by Daylight team has shaken up the standard Trial in a major way. For the first time ever, 2 Killers can team up to hunt 8 Survivors, delivering a fresh and frantic take on gameplay for seasoned players.
2v8 Trials will take place across 5 classic Maps, each of which has been expanded to house the action. Generators have also been doubled, with Survivors now needing to repair 8 of 13 to escape. Hooks and Perks have been jettisoned in a bid to keep the action flowing. Downed Survivors are now sent directly to Cages, while Survivor Perks are replaced with a new class system designed to encourage teamwork as players can adopt clearer “roles” within a Trial. Instead of Classes, Killers will receive alterations to their Powers, as well as a crucial team-based ability to amplify the havoc they can wreak as a duo.

A couple weeks back, Electronic Arts Inc. announced Real Madrid and England superstar, Jude Bellingham, as the cover athlete for EA SPORTS FC 25. Making his mark as the youngest global cover star to feature on an EA SPORTS football game, Bellingham will also be featured as the new cover athlete for EA SPORTS FC Mobile. Captured at El Clásico in April, the EA SPORTS FC 25 Standard Edition cover was created using the iconic image of Jude posing in his renowned Belligol celebration, after scoring the stoppage time winner in front of his home crowd at the Bernabéu.
Then, in a way only EA SPORTS FC can make possible, football’s biggest names came together on-set in Madrid for the EA SPORTS FC 25 Ultimate Edition cover, revealed earlier this week, where Bellingham appears alongside Ballon d’Or Féminin winner Aitana Bonmatí, and football icons David Beckham, Zinedine Zidane and Gianluigi Buffon, accompanied by 17 of the world’s most coveted football trophies — including the UEFA Champions League, UEFA Women’s Champions League, Ballon d’Or, Premier League, LALIGA, Liga F, Serie A, and Ligue 1 amongst many others — each representing iconic moments in our cover stars’ illustrious careers.
This season, Bellingham has flourished after his move to Real Madrid, winning the UEFA Champions League, LALIGA EA SPORTS and Supercopa de España with his club, alongside multiple individual accolades, including LALIGA Player of the Season, Laureus Breakthrough of the Year, as well as the Golden Boy and Kopa Trophies for the world’s best player under 21. He has sustained that momentum at the international level with game-defining moments that helped England reach the final at UEFA EURO 2024 this summer, truly confirming his star status and earning his place on the cover of EA SPORTS FC 25.
