The 19th Tourney Event re-run is here; these events are weekly events that started all the way back when the game was first released. In November 2021, Nintendo announced that new weekly events would end, and starting from November 19th, 2021; they will start a re-run of past events. Nintendo has revealed Sundae Tour as the upcoming tour for Mario Kart Tour, featuring the course Sky-High Sundae with towering ice-cream cones and parfaits. The new tour will start on August 9th, 2022, at 11:00 p.m PT (August 10th at 8:00 a.m CEST).
The Pokémon Company has revealed new Pokémon plush toys based on the Hisuian region, and these are Typhlosion, Samurott, and Decidueye. Each priced at 4,400 yen (about $33 USD), these plushies will be available at the Pokémon Center stores across Japan starting from August 11th, 2022. You can also order them online from Pokémon Center Online, or from Amazon Japan.
Bandai Namco has released a new trailer for SD Gundam Battle Alliance, which introduces six more mobile suits that will be available in the game; the first three are Musha Gundam, Knight Gundam, and Command Gundam, and the last three are inspired by Romance of the Three Kingdoms, Liu Bei Unicorn Gundam, Cao Cao Wing Gundam, and Sun Jian Gundam Astray.
SD Gundam Battle Alliance will launch on August 25th, 2022, for the Nintendo Switch. A demo is right now on the Nintendo eShop.

GalaxyTrail has officially revealed that the Switch version of Freedom Planet 2 will launch in Summer 2023. The developers claim that the game has reached its final stages, as they are preparing to launch it on PC first on September 13th, 2022. Additional language options will be available alongside the Switch release.
About the game:
Freedom Planet 2 is a new game from GalaxyTrail, LLC, sequel to the breakout hit Freedom Planet. This is an independently developed video game created from the skills and talents of multiple like minded developers, artists, voice actors and writers. In Freedom Planet 2, Lilac, Carol and Milla team up with their once rival Neera to face a new threat awakened by the destruction of the Kingdom Stone. Hamster has announced that the next title coming to the Arcade Archives series is Dig Dug, a maze arcade game originally released by Namco back in 1982 and your objective is to eliminate all the enemies you see on the screen by either dropping rocks on them or inflating them with your harpoon. The game will be released on Nintendo Switch on August 4th, 2022, priced at $7.99.
About the game:
Take up the role of Dig Dug, the champion of love and justice, as you drill through the ground and defeat any enemies that stray in your path. Clear the stage by avoiding and defeating the persistent Pooka and the deep-dwelling but whimsical Fygars.
Hit enemies with the harpoon and pump air into them, or drop rocks from above. Pass through inflated enemies, or defeat multiple enemies in an adjacent passage for an even higher score. To earn a chance at bonus points, don’t forget to collect those vegetables that appear!

Nintendo has released a new short movie for Kirby and the Forgotten Land, which showcases one of the mouthful modes Kirby learns in the game, but this time, instead of using it to destroy enemies, it’s being used to deal with the extreme Summer heat.
This isn’t the first short movie Nintendo released for Kirby, as they have released multiple ones leading to the game’s release.
Marvelous’s upcoming “Juvenile RPG” LOOP8, which is scheduled to be released in 2022 for the Nintendo Switch in Japan, is getting its own web novel titled “A Summer Day” this month, written by the Game Designer and Scenario Writer for the game, Yuri Shibamura. The web novel will be published sequentially beginning on August 16th, 2022 (via Perfectly Nintendo).
LOOP8 is still only planned to be released in Japan, no western release has been confirmed, so there is no reason to expect this novel to be any different.

Neko.Works revealed that the second episode of the JRPG series Light Fairytale will be released on August 18th, 2022, for the Nintendo Switch. The first episode was already released on April 28th of this year. This series contains a total of four episodes, the third episode is planned for Q4 2023, and the last episode still does not have a release date. Visit the official website for more information.

TYPE-MOON has announced that they will be hosting the “Type-Moon Times 2022 Summer Special” broadcast, where they will share the latest information on Witch on the Holy Night, Tsukihime: A Piece of Blue Glass Moon, and Melty Blood: Type Lumina. Presenters include Yuusuke Kobayashi and Chika Anzai, the voice actors for Soujuurou Shizuki and Kojika Kumari from Witch of the Holy Night, respectively, and Ryousuke Kanemoto, the voice actor for Shiki Tohno from Melty Blood: Type Lumina and Tsukihime: A Piece of Blue Glass Moon.
