Hamster has announced that the next title coming to the Arcade Archives series is Rolling Thunder 2, a run and gun arcade game originally released by Namco back in 1991. The game will be released on Nintendo Switch on May 25th, 2023, priced at $7.99.

Square Enix has announced that they will be hosting a special livestream for Infinity Strash: Dragon Quest The Adventure of Dai in Japan. The livestream is set for May 26th, 2023 at 10:00am Japan time and will be available to watch on Square Enix’s official YouTube channel. The livestream will include multiple voice actors such as Atsumi Tanezaki (voices Dai in Japanese) and Toshiyuki Toyonaga (voices Popp in Japanese) and the producer of the game.

The game is scheduled to launch sometime this fall for the Nintendo Switch.

The Super Mario Bros. Movie has been an amazing success for Nintendo, breaking records left and right. According to TOHO, the movie has grossed around 742.8 million yen during its fourth weekend in theaters. This is down from last week’s 1 billion yen, but it still means that the total sales have surpassed 9.1 billion yen since the launch of the movie. More than 6.4 million tickets have been sold across Japan.

The Super Mario Bros. Movie is the highest-grossing film based on a video game in Japan, and it is also the highest-grossing film of 2023.

A new patch has been announced for Guardian Tales. The patch will be available on May 23rd, 2023, and will include new content and events. Check out the full patch notes below.

GoodSmile has shared new images and given us our first look into the upcoming Mio figma figure from Xenoblade Chronicles 3. The figma comes with four face plates and plenty of optional parts for creating your favorite moments from the game in figma form.

The Mio figma figure stands approximately 160mm tall and features a fully articulated body for posing. She comes with four face plates, including a standard face, a shouting face, a face with closed eyes, and a smiling face. She also comes with a variety of optional parts, including her Dual Moonblades, diary, flute, and long hair.

Pre-orders for the Mio figma figure are open now through Good Smile’s online store and various other retailers. The figure is priced at ¥12,000 yen (approximately $86 USD) and is scheduled to be released in February 2024.

Nintendo has announced that The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom has sold more than 10 million copies worldwide in its first three days of release. This makes it the fastest-selling game in the Legend of Zelda series, and one of the fastest-selling games of all time! The sequel to the 2017’s Breath of the Wild has received rave reviews from critics, with many praising its expansive open world and improved gameplay mechanics. Were you part of the 10 million?

A new update is releasing for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet between May 22nd and May 26th. The update will fix an issue with competitions that affected the Japanese and Korean Qualifiers for their National Championships and the Pokémon World Championships. The issue caused players to be unable to see rankings, face against the same opponents repeatedly, and be unable to exit between battles. This made it difficult for players to compete in the competitions and could have resulted in unfair results.

A new promo image was shared in Japan to advertise the new Pokémon anime, Pokémon Horizons. The image features two new characters from Pokémon Scarlet and Violet: Nemona and gym leader Brassius. Pokémon Horizons first premiered in Japan on April 14, 2023. It is not yet known when the anime will be released in other regions other than it being sometime in 2023.
