How does Super Mario Odyssey stack up to sales for other Mario games?
A few days back, Nintendo stated that Super Mario Odyssey had managed to sell 9.07 million units in about 2 months on the market. Certainly an impressive number no matter how you look at it, but how does it stack up to previous Mario games? Let's take a look at those details below.
Galaxy: 12.76m
Mario 64: 11.91m
3D Land: 11.40m
Mario 64 DS: 11.06m
Galaxy 2: 7.67m
Sunshine: 6.31m
3D World: 5.70m
As you can see, Odyssey's start is even more impressive when compared to other Mario games. Will it managed to topple heavy-hitters like Super Mario 64 and Super Mario Galaxy? It might take a bit of time, but I'd say things are looking quite good.
