The Messenger sales are 'just under 50k' on all platforms after one week

Wondering how The Messenger did after its first week of sales? In an interview with GamesIndustry, Sabotage co-founder Martin Brouard spills the beans.

"Seeing how the critical reception is, I was expecting something a little higher. We are just under 50,000 units on all platforms after a little more than a week, which is really a good start. But if we compare ourselves to some of the other indie hits recently, it might be a little under them."

I have to admit, it does seem that The Messenger rode some hype on the way to launch, but failed to grab attention when it actually hit the Switch eShop. As Brouard says, reviews have been really good. What has kept you from picking this one up?
