Report states that smaller game makers feel snubbed by Sony, in contrast to Nintendo
The Wall Street Journal has a report up about the path for Sony going forward with the PS5. According to the article, Sony is focusing on big-name publishers for the PS5, as resources are limited, and Sony believes consumers buy consoles to play high-quality games you can only find on their platform. This has lead to smaller developers feeling snubbed, in contrast to how they feel with Nintendo.
Nintendo has certainly expanded their efforts to reach all sorts of small-to-medium developers on the Switch, and there have been countless success stories. While Nintendo certainly loves to see big-name games from top-tier developers, it seems they also recognize that medium and small devs are important to fleshing out a system's reach overall. I guess we'll see how Sony's approach pans out in the not-too-distant future!
