Nintendo details the refund process for Nintendo apologizes for misinformation on Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE Encore in Japan

As you know, Nintendo failed to let consumers know that the Japanese version of Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE Encore is based on the Western release of Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE, which altered some content. As an apology, Nintendo is offering customers who preordered a refund. We now have details on how those refunds work.

For those who went with a digital purchase, your eShop account will be credited the balance. If you used Gold Points, those will be returned. If a Nintendo Catalog Ticket was used, you'll be issued a new ticket. If you purchased physically via the My Nintendo Store, you will be refunded by your credit card company or by PayPal.
