The first season of The Witcher is giong to hit Netflix on December 20th, 2019, and fans are chomping at the bit to check it out. Is it too early to start thinking about a second season? As far as Netflix is concerned, it is. They're yet to greenlight the second season, but that hasn't stopped showrunner Lauren S. Hissrich from planning out a seven-season run for Geralt and the gang. Hissrich shared her plans in an interview with SFX.

“I’ve [mapped out stories] for seven seasons. Right now it’s just about, ‘how do you set up stories that really capture audiences for years at a time?' The worst thing we could do is put all of our energies just into season one, and not be thinking about where these characters can grow to.”
