R-TYPE being removed from the Virtual Console in Japan

Konami has announced that they'll be removing the PC-Engine version of R-TYPE from the 3DS/Wii U Virtual Console in Japan on June 30th, 2020. The PC-Engine version of R-TYPE includes R-TYPE and R-TYPE II in one package, and was handled by Hudson Soft. No reason for the game's removal was given.
