Jakks Pacific seems to be developing Super Mario movie figures
Complete with accessories!
The Super Mario movie from Illumination is still half a year away, but JAKKS Pacific seems to be gearing up to produce figures for it when the time comes. New Amazon listings have popped up for Jakks Pacific developed figures based on Mario, Luigi, Toad, and Bowser.
Unfortunately, these listings seem like placeholders only. They aren’t available for purchase, their indicated release dates don’t make much sense, and there aren’t even any images included. What little information we do have comes in the following description, attached to each listing:
Premium details and textures. Up to 12 points of hidden articulation. Includes movie accessory. Comes in collectors packaging. Suggested for kids ages 3 years and up.
In addition, each figure is listed as 5 inches tall. The exception is the Bowser figure, which appears to be heavier and larger, with a packaging height of 9 inches.
The Super Mario movie is scheduled to be released in North America on April 7, 2023. We’ll probably have to wait until closer to that date to be able to get our hands on these figures, but maybe we’ll get a glimpse at them next week when the first official trailer debuts.
