A set of Nintendo’s debugging tapes from back in the day has leaked, and found its way into the hands of YouTube channel Hard4Games. These tapes were originally used by debuggers working for Nintendo to log and record any examples of glitches and bugs they encountered while testing various games.

In the above video, you’ll be able to see early versions of Diddy Kong Racing, Pikmin, PilotWings 64, GoldenEye 007, Mario Kart Super Circuit, and several more titles. Of course, this footage is primarily focused on areas in which the games weren’t functioning properly, and while Hard4Games did their best to clean it up, it’s still not the best quality. Regardless, if you’re a die-hard Nintendo fan, this video provides a fascinating peek behind the curtain at the development of some classic games and how the debugging process works.

The channel also has access to a third debugging tape which is focused solely on The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask, but that one’s being saved for another day. Stay tuned!
