Mario Kart 8 Deluxe has been updated to Version 2.2.0, adding in support for the release of Wave 3 of the Booster Course Pass paid DLC. That’s not all the update includes however, as Nintendo has announced a new “Custom Items” feature that allows you to turn specific items off/on in VS Races and select online modes. In Team Races and Battles, you can even equip items only for one team.

The Mario Kart 8 Deluxe - Booster Course Pass is automatically available to all Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack subscribers, but it can also be purchased separately for $24.99 USD. It will include 6 waves of 8 courses released by the end of 2023.

Booster Course Pass: Wave 3 includes the following tracks.

ROCK CUP

  • London Loop (Tour)
  • Boo Lake (GBA)
  • Rock Rock Mountain (3DS)
  • Maple Treeway (Wii)

MOON CUP

  • Berlin Byways (Tour)
  • Peach Gardens (3DS)
  • Merry Mountain (NEW)
  • Rainbow Road (3DS)

You can see the full patch notes for this update below.

If Nintendo is taking requests, I would like a volume slider feature so I can fully appreciate the fantastic soundtrack.

What is this “Rock Rock Mountain”?! Across the pond it’s “Alpine Pass”.

Maple Treeway, Merry Mountain and Rainbow Road (3DS) are the best tracks of this pack. Overall the best pack so far imo.

100% agree! Also would love a Dolphin Shoals-specific option to use the sax version the whole time 😂
I never get to hear the shredding solo!

This was one of my biggest requests right next to be able to set the amount of laps per race.
