STORY OF SEASONS: A Wonderful Life's mysterious path revealed to be a time skip option

Last week, we learned of the return of a mysterious path in the upcoming STORY OF SEASONS: A Wonderful Life remake. The path was originally used as to connect to Harvest Moon: Friends of Mineral Town on the Game Boy Advance, but its purpose in the new version was a mystery… until now.
Thanks to YouTuber Josh’s Gaming Garden, we now know that this path will skip time forward in-game by six hours… and that’s all! Even though the dialogue box mentions a far away town you can travel to, you simply stay where you started after the six hours are up.
Perhaps in the future DLC content or connectivity with another remake will give this path more significance. For now, it’s not nearly as exciting as we were hoping for. Oh, well! A Wonderful Life will be available on Switch June 27, 2023.
