Metroid Prime Remastered has already been a big hit on Switch in its digital incarnation, but now the physical version is available too. At least, it’s supposed to be… As reported on a few days ago, trouble began with various retailers warning customers of delays on their orders. Now, it seems that physical copies of Metroid Prime Remastered have proven very hard to come by.

One of the biggest indications of Metroid Prime Remastered’s rarity is its going rate on eBay. Currently, there are several copies up for grabs via the online auction site, with most in the range of $70-$80. This is a significant increase over the game’s $40 retail cost. Some eBay listings are asking as much as $100, and a few audacious individuals are even asking for $300 or more.

The good news is that the game is still available digitally for $40. Unfortunately, it’s a tough time to be a collector if you didn’t manage to snag a copy. Hopefully, Nintendo will see the demand and get more copies in print as soon as possible.

Jeez! Well, I'm waiting until I can get it for MSRP before I buy it.

Never give in to scalpers.

And here I was waiting for a sale on the physical. Guess I should shift into just trying to get a copy AT ALL. Bah.
