Critical Role to host Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom inspired RPG session on May 30th, 2023

RPG streaming show Critical Role has announced that it will be sponsored by Nintendo of America for a special RPG session inspired by The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. For anyone who doesn’t know, Critical Role is a tabletop roleplaying show hosted by prolific voice actor Matt Mercer. Matt Mercer also happens to be the voice of Ganondorf in Tears of the Kingdom!

The episode is a one-shot, meaning it will be self contained and not continue into future sessions. It will air on Tuesday May 30, 2023 at 7:00 PM Pacific (10:00 PM Eastern) on Critical Role’s Twitch and YouTube channels. The featured players will be Liam O’Brien, Marisha Ray, Robbie Daymond, Omar Najam, and Emily Axford.

Critical Role also clarified that there won’t be any spoilers featured in the session. The contents of this adventure will be entirely new, while drawing inspiration from elements of Zelda games. Tune in on Tuesday to see how it goes!
