Grasshopper, the company behind games like No More Heroes and Shadows of the Damned, recently held their very first “Grasshopper Direct” video, celebrating 25 years of Grasshopper games. The eleven minute presentation featured some looks back at the company’s history, as well as previews of upcoming games and merch.

One section in particular though may be of interest to fans of 2019’s Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes. At around the 9:38 mark in the video above, a trailer is shown for something called “Electric Thunder Tiger 14”. Electric Thunder Tiger was a fictional video game franchise featured in Travis Strikes Again starring the character Electro Triple Star (who also served as a boss in the game). At the end of the game Travis muses that he could star in Electro Thunder Tiger III, but apparently this trailer is jumping straight to the 14th installment of the series.

Whether or not this trailer indicates that an actual game is coming based on Electro Thunder Tiger is hard to say. It could easily be nothing more than a silly in-joke for fans, and there doesn’t appear to be any actual gameplay footage in the trailer, nor is there any release date info included. Knowing Grasshopper, this could just be a goof, but they do like to play with fan expectations from time to time.

We’ll see if any information about a potential Electro Thunder Tiger 14 comes to light in the future, or if this is the last time we hear about it.
