Today, Rockstar Games is well known for franchises like Red Dead Redemption and Grand Theft Auto, but the original team actually used to develop games for Nintendo before becoming part of Rockstar in 2001. Back then, Rockstar North was known as DMA Design Limited. Among their many projects was a game called Kid Kirby, a Kirby spin-off game that never saw the light of day.

In their latest video, Did You Know Gaming takes a deep dive into Kid Kirby to try and uncover exactly what this game was all about. We know it was aimed at a younger audience, but very little art or info about the title has ever surfaced to the public… until now.

For this project, Did You Know Gaming got in touch with some former DMA developers, and hired an artist to mock up what the game might have looked like if it was released. Watch the video above, and experience a chapter of Kirby’s history you probably never knew existed!
