Fortnite is now very much in the business of third party collaborations, but they haven’t done much in the way of indie game crossovers. That could be changing, as reports indicate Epic Games has been having discussions with Edmund McMillen, the creator of roguelike indie hit The Binding of Isaac. By all accounts, both sides seem to be somewhat interested in working together on crossover content.

The latest development comes from Fortnite leaker ShiinaBR on Twitter, who confirms that the two parties have met and are exploring options. In fact, McMillen himself has been vocal about his desire to get Binding of Isaac content into Fortnite in the past. In a recent TikTok video, McMillen explained that he’d been talking to Epic Games and that things were moving forward, albeit slowly. As he says, it takes a long time for things to get added to the Fortnite pipeline.

The latest report from ShiinaBR could be an indication that this deal is moving closer to fruition. Will we see Isaac added to Fortnite in a future update, and will he come with any signature items or alternate skins? Stay tuned!
