Free Comic Book Day is an awesome event that takes place on the first Saturday of every May, and it’s exactly what it sounds like. Local comic book stores will be stocked with special free comics from various companies for any and all customers to grab as they like.

This year, fans have some video game themed comics to look forward to! As reported by Video Games Chronicle, two of the comics on offer will be based on games that are available on Nintendo platforms: ‘Pokémon Adventures: Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire’, and ‘Street Fighter vs. Final Fight’.

The Pokémon comic will also come with a short feature based on the world of Splatoon 3, so you’ll get two Nintendo comics for the price of one (again, free)! Meanwhile, the Street Fighter vs. Final Fight comic is Issue #1 of a special Capcom crossover series, so there’ll be more coming from them later on.

Street Fighter vs. Final Fight

“The fighters of two fantastic video game franchises collide in Street Fighter vs Final Fight!

“It’s a martial arts-fueled feud that reaches from the time of the original Final Fight 1, all the way up to the modern day Street Fighter 6!”
