The Switch continues to pull in absolutely astounding numbers around the world. The platform just snagged the #1 spot yet again in North American sales for the month of May, and now it’s achieve a major milestone in Japan.

According to the latest Famitsu figures, the Switch has now sold 25 million units in Japan alone! It’s clear the console/portable hybrid approach with the Switch was a big hit in Japan, and continues to reel in consumers in the region.

To put things in perspective, this achievement makes the Switch the third best-selling gaming hardware in Japan overall. The only platforms left to topple are the Game Boy (32.4m) and DS (32.9m).

The Switch had been such an astounding success, I think we've all run out of things to say about it.
