2023 report shows best-selling games worldwide, highest-rated titles and more
A great year for Nintendo fans
While there’s still some time left in 2023, the year is pretty much done by all accounts. There’s not going to be any major shifts in sales or surprises before the year closes out, so we pretty much know where things stand in terms of game industry sales. Now it’s time to take a look at how things played out for Nintendo throughout the year!
Games Industry has crunched the numbers and sifted through the data to put together an amazing infographic breaking down all sorts of sales and stats, and we’ve snagged a few of their findings to share. First up, we have the best-selling games in the U.S., UK and Japan. Please remember that Nintendo’s titles don’t include digital sales numbers.
Next, we have the top 3 highest-scored games on Metacritic for the year. As you can see Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom managed to tie for the top spot of the year, which is an absolutely stellar achievement.
Last but not least, we also have the details on the most covered games and game companies when it comes to games media.
There’s a lot more to see in the full infographic, including the biggest mobile titles, the most talked about games on social media and more. If you want to dig into those details, you can find the infographic here.
