Japanese hardware/software sales for 2022 revealed, Nintendo dominates top 10
Another easy win for the Big N
Here’s a story that will likely surprise no one. Nintendo has had yet another stellar year in Japan, and they’ve come out on top in both the hardware and software charts.
Now that 2022 is roughly two weeks behind us, we can get a look at the bigger picture in terms of game and hardware sales. When it comes to Japan, Nintendo was definitely the company to beat, and no one could even come close.
In terms of software sales, the Switch accounted for 9 of the top 10 spots for the year. Along with that, Switch was the #1 hardware yet again for Japan. You can see the specifics for both hardware and software below, courtesy of Videogames Chronicle.
