Kirby’s Gourmet Race arcade game revealed for Japan

Almost all of Kirby’s console/portable releases have gotten localized over the years, but there’s some titles that never make their way stateside. They usually reside in Japanese arcades, and now we know of one more Kirby arcade title that’s in the works for our friends in the East.

Bandai Namco has revealed Kirby’s Gourmet Race, a game where the goal is to get Kirby to gobble up a bunch of balls. This arcade unit has two massive pumps that you have to use in order to blow balls into Kirby’s mouth. Mixed in among the balls are Maxim Tomatoes, which will net you some extra points if you stuff them into Kirby’s gullet.

There’s pretty much no chance this game will ever leave Japan officially, so most of us will only get to check it out via the video above. If you do get to travel to Japan in the near future, keep an eye out for this one!
