Deployable reboot item in the works for Fortnite

Dataminers are always digging into Fortnite’s source code to see what new features are on the way to the game. As has happened numerous times before, an upcoming addition has been discovered, and we should see it in the game sometime soon.

As it stands now, fallen players in Fortnite have to be rebooted via a reboot van. Dataminers have discovered that a second option is on the way, as a deployable reboot item is in the works. While we don’t have specifics on the item, it seems likely it’ll take up an inventory slot, but it’ll let you bring back a fallen friend on the fly, instead of having to travel to a reboot van.

Datamined Fortnite details are usually announced just a week or two after they’re discovered, so expect official information on this in the near future.
