SEGA internal document reveals the inception of Knuckles
Can you think of a better name than Knuckles?
A SEGA internal document all the way from 1993 has been unearthed, and it reveals the very first moments of Knuckles’ existence.
As you can see via the Tweet above, at this point in time, Knuckles didn’t even have a name! His entire backstory and motivations were known, but SEGA hadn’t settled on a name for the character yet. Man, what I wouldn’t give to see a list of names they were considering!
Outside of his name, pretty much everything else about Knuckles stayed true between the creation of this document and Knuckles first in-game appearance. A pretty neat bit of SEGA history to discover!
