A potential fix to Pokemon Scarlet and Violet's performance problems has been discovered
Could a memory leak be the cause?
Pokémon Scarlet and Violet are out now and if you’ve been online you’ve no doubt heard about the game’s performance issues. The game suffers from frame drops and glitches that really bog down the experience for many players. However, it’s possible a fix to the framerate issue has been discovered.
@CentroPokemon has posted on Twitter that the issue may stem from a memory leak that uses more and more of the Switch’s memory than necessary. According to Centro the issue should fix itself after forcing the game to reset, we’ve not had the opportunity to test this ourselves but any solution is welcome.
Hopefully an official fix will come sooner rather than later, we will of course keep you updated should that news arrive.
