New commercial shows off more Super Mario Bros. movie snippets

Ever since the release of the second trailer for the Super Mario Bros. movie, Nintendo and Illumination have been spreading the word through a series of commercials. Surprisingly, these commercials have shown snippets of the film that weren’t revealed in the latest trailer.

Over the last week+, we’ve seen a number of different spots that have featured portions of the film that haven’t been covered anywhere else. This includes a look at new characters, locations and more. Now we have yet another commercial that gives us a sneak peek at what the film has to offer.

Of particular note in the commercial above is what appears to be the first look at Mario and Luigi traveling from the real world to the Mushroom Kingdom. Equal parts surprising and not surprising is the fact that the approach seems to mash together ideas from both the live-action Mario film and the Super Mario Bros. Super Show cartoon!
