Final Fantasy VII sells over 14 million units
The legendary RPG continues to soar
It took Final Fantasy VII a long, looooooooong time to come Nintendo’s way, but fans of the Big N finally got to see what the all-time classic was about with the Switch release. Now, that Switch release is helping the game reach all-new sales heights.
According to Final Fantasy VII Director Yoshinori Kitase, the RPG icon has managed to sell 14.1 million units worldwide so far. Obviously, the bulk of that figure comes from the original PS1 release, but there’s no doubt a healthy total from the various digital releases over the years.
