Nintendo has published their official Q&A from their Q3 results for fiscal year 2023, and one of the questions pertained to the slower sales of software in the Americas.

As we’ve mentioned before, Nintendo said that holiday sales were slower than expected, but the Americas saw the most sizable dip. Nintendo president Shuntaro Furukawa says this stems largely from slower sales for evergreen titles. You can see his full response below.

The Switch is showing it's age (is this ageism?) and does have more competition now with the PS5 being available, so there's that.
