While Nintendo has already talked about the upcoming closure of the Wii U and 3DS eShops, they’ve taken time out today to remind everyone.

Just as Nintendo announced last year, the Wii U/3DS eShops will be closed to new purchases on March 27th, 2023. In other words, if you want to snag a digital title off of either of those shops, you have a bit over a month to do so.

Along with that, you’ll have a time limit on merging your eShop funds. If you want to bring over Wii U/3DS eShop balances for use on Switch, you’ll have until March 2024 to do so. If you don’t merge your funds by that point, any currency on your Wii U/3DS will remain there and unusable.

Just spent last night downloading some games and getting the Pokémon Bank situation under control. Still undecided about getting the BoxBoy games…
