Slowpoke udon noodles seeing release in Japan
Make sure to slow cook, please
The world of Pokémon merch is all-encompassing, especially in Japan. If you can think up an idea for Pokémon merch, it probably already exists. Even if it doesn’t, you can bet it’s already in the works. Case in point, a new Pokémon-related snack that just got revealed.
Japan’s Kagawa prefecture has been using Slowpoke as their makeshift mascot for over 3 years now, and the latest example of them leaning into the character is the reveal of Slowpoke udon noodles. You can see the packaging for the noodles above, which goes with a Pokémon Red/Green theme.
Turns out the packaging isn’t just a play on the classic Pokémon games, as these noodles are plum (red) and olive (green). Wondering what flavor the white packaging is? Well, that’s just standard noodle flavor!
The Slowpoke udon noodles are now available in Japan. As you might have guessed, there’s no plans to release them worldwide.
