A new trailer for Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demon was released yesterday, which we’ve already shared. Just in case you missed it, you can see the trailer above.

This trailer gives us another look at the interactions between Cereza and Cheshire, and in a follow-up blog from Director Abebe Tinari, we learn a bit more about the approach to voice acting for Cheshire.

According to Tinari, the words of Cheshire the demon are actually conveyed to the player via the narrator, who is voiced in English by Jenny Lee. In the world of Bayonetta, demons usually speak a language called Enochian. However, because of their particular bond, Cereza hears Cheshire’s words ring directly in her mind.

If you want to learn more about how things came together for Cheshire, you can find the full blog here.
