Nintendo fans didn’t get to experience any of the .hack series until the Switch came around, but as if often said, better late than never! You can hop on the Switch right now and download .hack//G.U. Last Recode, which includes all 4 .hack//G.U. titles (Rebirth, Reminisce, Redemption, and Reconnection) in one single integrated experience.

After playing through those titles, you might want to check out the video above, which celebrates 2 decades of the .hack series. While the video is in Japanese, there are a lot of musical tributes to the franchise, and those come across perfectly no matter what your native language is.

Finally, this live-stream event also confirms that a new .hack project is in the works, but no specifics are shared. It’s not even clear if this will be a game or something else altogether, but it’s nice to know .hack still has some life left in it.
