Hitting the streets with new projects
It looks like the Street Fighter series isn’t done with small or big-screen adaptations just yet.
American film production company Legendary Entertainment and Capcom have announced a partnership for the Street Fighter franchise. This deal sees Legendary get the rights to Street Fighter live-action TV and movie opportunities, with Legendary saying they’ll work closely with Capcom to bring the series to life. As of right now, a new Street Fighter live-action movie has been confirmed, but we don’t know what’s happening on the TV side of things.
This isn’t the first time Street Fighter will get TV show or movie adaptations, as there have been numerous releases in both sides of entertainment over the years. Of course, the question is whether or not the next projects will be of a higher caliber.
