Late last year, Pokémon Company announced the construction of a brand new Pokémon-themed park in the Iwate Prefecture of Japan. Dubbed “Geodude Park,” this new attraction would be dedicated to Rock-Type Pokémon, such as Geodude, Onix, Aerodactyl, Tyrunt, Rockruff, and more.

Fast-forward roughly 5 months, and Geodude Park is now officially open! Geodude Park features rock walls to climb, rope swings, jungle gyms, various Pokémon-themed rides and more. If you’re looking for a more relaxed time while at the park, you can snoop through the merch store filled with all sorts of goodies, or grab yourself a Pokémon-themed drink.

If you’re a Pokémon GO Trainer, there’s good reason to visit Geodude Park as well. While in and around the park, you can expect a higher encounter rate for Geodude, and you can use the game’s AR function to take special Geodude pictures.

If you’d like to see a few more pictures of the park and what it has to offer, check out a gallery here.
