Hot on the heels of the million-selling success of Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection, we’ve learned that a major player for the Mega Man series is parting ways with Capcom (H/T VGC).

According to his Twitter profile, Mega Man series producer Kazuhiro Tsuchiya has left Capcom. In particular, his Twitter bio mentions that he’s “graduated from Capcom,” which certainly makes it seem like he’s no longer at the Mega Man developer.

Tsuchiya has been deeply involved with the Mega Man series for quite some time now, with his contributions going all the way back to Mega Man 7 in 1995. No matter what happens with the Mega Man franchise going forward, Tsuchiya’s departure will be felt by the studio for years to come.

Thanks to OliviaRosas_ for the heads up!
