Sonic Superstars to feature a new character designed by Naoto Ohshima, get a 'modern' Amy outfit for joining the newsletter

Sonic Superstars got a surprise reveal yesterday, and it’s coming to Switch in Fall 2023. This is a new 2D installment in the Sonic series, albeit with a modern, polygonal take on how the old sprite-based games used to look.

Following the announcement of the game, we’ve learned that longtime Sonic developer Naoto Ohshima is cooking up something special for the game. According to the official press release for Sonic Superstars, Ohshima is also back with a new character that Sonic and his friends will have to face.

Speaking of characters, there’s also a way to get yourself a special outfit for Amy for free! Those who sign up for the Sonic Superstars newsletter by January 31st, 2024 can earn a “classic, redefined look” for Amy Rose. This outfit is described as a “modern” take on Amy’s classic outfit.
