The Super Mario Bros. Movie 'Behind the Scenes' clip shows off Nintendo concept art
Yet another peek behind the curtain
The Super Mario Bros. Movie is about to launch physically in North America on June 13th, 2023, and to celebrate that launch, a new behind-the-scenes clip has been shared.
In a video you can watch here, Nintendo and Illumination details the challenges of adapting the film to the big screen. This discussion is peppered with concept art Nintendo provided the team at Illumination in order to help steer them in the right direction.
The clip also features several members of the team (and Luigi actor Charlie Day) as they share the overall process behind the movie. We also get to see director Aaron Horvath talk about working closely with Shigeru Miyamoto in order to expand some elements to better fit the cinematic side of things.
