Two drug smugglers busted hiding cocaine in Pokémon art cases

Drug smugglers will try to get their product in/around the world in all sorts of unique ways, and the latest example of that involves some Pokémon-branded content.
Two young men were arrested on June 6th, 2023 for trying to smuggle 4 pounds of cocaine, all of which was hidden in Pokémon art cases. While the cases weren’t shown from the front, the description from police points to the cases being the exact same one you see in the image above.
The cocaine had been trafficked from Puerto Rico to Massachusetts, but the illegal activities were discovered by an undercover USPS inspector. That led to a sting operation where the two men picked the package up off a porch, but the cops were already waiting to apprehend the duo.
The two young men could be facing jail time for one year and a $1,000 fine if they are first-time offenders.
