According to Sakurai, without Family BASIC, neither Kirby nor Super Smash Bros. would exist! In this video, Sakurai introduces this special peripheral from 1984 by recording himself actually using it.
Sakurai says revisiting this software really takes him back, making it clear that it played a huge part in his path to becoming a game dev.
