No matter what year it is, it’s always tough to keep up with all the games that release. That’s especially true with Switch, as dozens and dozens of titles hit the platform every single week.
If you’ve been thinking that the deluge of titles in 2023 is even more intense than previous years, you’re not crazy. Mat Piscatella of Circana has done some number-crunching, and he’s got definitive proof that 2023 has been a big year for new Switch releases.
According to the data, Switch has seen a 21% increase in new titles releasing over 2022. Keep in mind that the data for 2022 includes the full year, while we’re only halfway through 2023! It’ll be interesting to see if Switch keeps up that pace for the rest of the year, or if things even out as 2023 comes to a close.
