Ys X: Nordics gets an English subbed teaser video

Here’s a first for our Ys X: Nordics coverage. Publisher Clouded Leopard Entertainment has released a teaser video for the game that features English subtitles. Up to this point, all coverage shared for the game has been in Japanese, so this definitely gives hope for an English localization announcement coming soon.

The description included below this teaser for Ys X: Nordics is also in English, and it mentions the same Sept. 28th, 2023 release for the game in Japan. Now, whether that’s just included as a direct translation of the Japanese information or a hint at a simultaneous worldwide release is unknown. At the very least, it does look like Ys X: Nordics is a lock for localization at some point.

In Ys X: Nordics, the story unfolds in the northern sea Obelia Bay, a bay filled with countless islands of all sizes. Ys X: Nordics, the long-awaited latest installment commemorating the 35th anniversary of the Ys series.

The new “Cross Action” system allows players to fight using two modes: a speedy solo mode in which the player controls gameplay supported by a partner who attacks automatically, and a “combination mode” in which two players simultaneously control a series of actions to engage in a turn-based battle against a powerful enemy!
