Ys X: Nordics 'Mana Ride' mechanic detailed

A new tidbit has been shared about Ys X: Nordics, and it details a unique method of travel in the game.

Mana Ride is one of the Mana Actions you can perform in Ys X: Nordics. Mana Ride makes use of the Grimble Board, which can float and glide in the air. By entering special spots known as “Wind Pools”, you will be launched into the air, allowing you to jump over areas you normally couldn’t cross otherwise.

In Ys X: Nordics, the story unfolds in the northern sea Obelia Bay, a bay filled with countless islands of all sizes. Ys X: Nordics, the long-awaited latest installment commemorating the 35th anniversary of the Ys series.

The new “Cross Action” system allows players to fight using two modes: a speedy solo mode in which the player controls gameplay supported by a partner who attacks automatically, and a “combination mode” in which two players simultaneously control a series of actions to engage in a turn-based battle against a powerful enemy!
