Xicatrice video shows off counterattacks

Another round of details have been released for Xicatrice today, and this time we get to learn about the game’s counterattacks.

If you attack an enemy that can counterattack with a student that has a counterattack skill equipped, then the two will keep counterattacking each other until they reach they run out of counterattacks. For example, if you have Shinomori Wakaba (a character with high evasion) equip the Passive Skill “Evasion: Break” (that allows her to counterattack every time she successfully dodges an enemy attack), you can keep attacking the enemy without it being able to deal any damage.

Xicatrice is a “superpowers x academy RPG” in which you play as a teacher who leads a special unit of students on dangerous missions in response to emergencies. The game combines the depth that comes with a huge variety of skills, with highly flexible character development, allowing each player to play with their own strategy. The game is scheduled to release on June 29th, 2023, in Japan for the Nintendo Switch.
