The Battle for Polytopia gets new cosmetic DLC and leaderboards on Switch

Swedish indie game developer Midjiwan AB has just released a new cosmetic DLC pack for Battle of Polytopia, a cute-yet-tough 4X strategy game which received an “overwhelmingly positive” rating on Steam since its release in 2020. To celebrate the update, Battle of Polytopia is 50% off on Nintendo Switch for the next two weeks!

This update includes a brand-new skin pack available as cosmetic DLC for all platforms, as well as the previous two skin pack DLCs available for Nintendo Switch. The Nintendo Switch version is also getting a free update including a much-requested leaderboard feature!

In The Battle for Polytopia, players choose one of 12 different civilisations and use their unique characteristics to explore the continent, expand their territory, build industry and sometimes use diplomacy, to assert their dominance over the game map. This 4X game has been highly acclaimed as a “cute and small, yet tough” game that can be enjoyed in very short play sessions, having been downloaded over 19 million times.
