UK software/hardware sales for June 2023 revealed

June is officially behind us, and it brought with it another wave of big-name games and more. Over in the UK, the numbers have been crunched and we now know what titles gamers were flocking to. Let’s start things off with the top 10 software sales in the UK for June 2023, which you can see below.

  1. Diablo 4 (Activision Blizzard)
  2. Final Fantasy 16 (Square Enix)
  3. F123 (EA)
  4. FIFA 23 (EA)
  5. Hogwarts Legacy (Warner Bros)
  6. The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom (Nintendo)*
  7. Grand Theft Auto 5 (Rockstar)
  8. Street Fighter 6 (Capcom)
  9. NBA 2K23 (2K Games)
  10. Red Dead Redemption 2 (Rockstar)

Along with that, we have some stats on hardware sales in the UK for June 2023 as well.

  • 110,000 consoles were sold during the month
  • PS5 was the #1 hardware
  • Switch was #2, down 20% from last month
  • Switch sales are down 10% year-to-date

I bet you if the list included digital sales, Tears of the Kingdom would be number 1 again this month.

Interesting to see FF16 back up again. Seems like it might have long legs after all.

I like it that Nintendo are so...Nintendo and secretive, but I would love to see the sales comparisons of physical and digital. Specially for TOTK. Seems like the Switch has pretty strong digital sales. Not exactly the machine you want to change carts with too much when on the go after all.

I have both FF16 and TOTK now, but damn do I not have time to even start them. Booting up Persona 5R was perhaps not such a good move after all =D
