Pikmin 4 video details Red, Blue and Yellow Pikmin

Nintendo is very much positioning Pikmin 4 as a first-time Pikmin game for newcomers to the series. The game goes out of its way to explain the basics of Pikmin, and that approach continues with a new video shared by Nintendo.

In the video above, Nintendo breaks down the unique characteristics of Red, Blue and Yellow Pikmin. This is very much covered ground for anyone who’s played even a single installment in the Pikmin franchise, but it’s useful information for players considering jumping into the franchise for the first time with Pikmin 4.

Pikmin 4 is launching for Switch on July 21st, 2023, but a free demo is available on the Switch eShop right now. Save data from the demo will carry over to the full game.
